Can I tour and visit the facility prior to arrival?
Of course! We encourage you to visit Darbster Doggy and take a tour. Please call us in advance to arrange for a tour.
What methods of payment do you accept, and when is payment due?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cash and checks. Payment is due when you pick your dog up. You may also purchase a multi-day package and set up an account with us for payment.
Can someone other than myself drop off or pick up my dog?
Yes, but please contact us prior to arrival to make proper arrangements with check‐in paperwork and payment. You may add names to your pre‐approved pick up list to allow other people to pick up your dog.
How are the dogs separated?
The dogs are separated mainly by size. Medium sized dogs will be placed in the play area that best suits his/her temperament. We have a separate area for large dogs and small dogs. Our rescue dogs are separated from our daycare and boarding dogs at all times, including during play time. In addition, we have kennels in which to keep dogs that may need quiet time. Our primary focus is to keep all the dogs safe and ensure that they have an enjoyable time while in our care.
What happens if I am not able to pick up my dog before you close?
Please notify us if you are going to miss the final pick up time of 6:30 p.m. You will be charged $5 for every 15 minutes that you are late, up to 30 minutes. If you are unable to pick up your dog before we close, you are responsible for contacting someone to pick up the dog for you. If that is not possible, you will be charged for overnight boarding.
Are there break times during the day?
Yes, we usually do a couple breaks through out the day, but the timing depends on how many dogs we have and how the daycare group goes that day. Usually there is a break between 9-11am and then another break between 2-4pm. These breaks are typically 30 minutes long.
What is required for my dog to attend daycare or board?
Your dog must be spayed or neutered if it is over 6 months of age, vaccines up to date: Rabies, Bordetella, Lepto, Distemper (Parvo combination required DA2PPV, DA2PP, DHPP, or DHPPV), negative heartworm test within the last year, negative fecal within the last year, and up to date on flea/tick preventive (we accept flea/tick collars and also natural preventatives). We will need proof of all of this prior to your dog attending daycare or boarding.
Is my pet supervised during daycare?
Yes, there is always someone assigned to supervise daycare.
Do you have an outside facility for dogs?
Yes, we have an outside area for your dog’s enjoyment. This area is enclosed, with a grassy area. Small and large dogs are kept separate while outside. Your dog(s) will always be supervised while they play outside.
