Who we are
Executive Director
Ellen Quinlan
Ellen and Alan opened the restaurant "Darbster" in 2009, and thus the Foundation was formed. 100% of all profits from Darbster Food go toward The Darbster Foundation. Ellen works with rescue partners and volunteers in South Florida to save lives that are brought up to New Hampshire.

The Foundation now has two adoption facilities in New Hampshire. Darbster Kitty which opened in Manchester, New Hampshire in 2015, facilitates the rescue, transport and adoption of kitties. Darbster Doggy, which is located in Chichester, New Hampshire, opened in late 2018.

Transport and Public Relations
Deborah Smith
Picture
Deborah has been working with the founders since the inception of the Darbster Foundation.  In 2017, she began coordinating the weekly air transport for Darbster Kitty, working closely with our South Florida rescue partners and expanded her role in public relations, fund raising and administrative duties.  Her constant companion, Mr. Big was a Darbster Foundation rescue who works with her in the West Palm Beach office.

Darbster Doggy Facility Manager
Amy Arrigo
Amy began working with animals when she became a kennel technician at a dog daycare. She quickly worked her way up to assistant manager and was responsible for overseeing the care of 60+ dogs per day. She jumped at the opportunity to take her experience caring for dogs and use it for something greater.

Amy has always been an advocate for adoption and she's happy to be a part of the process with Darbster Doggy. She loves being able to have an impact on the lives of our rescues!

Community Outreach Coordinator
Kelly Pellegrino

Picture
Kelly has been an animal lover from day 1, but never knew she could morph her passion for animals into a career until working at Darbster. Kelly is instrumental in maintaining active and strong relationships between partner stores, in addition to planning adoption events and marketing for Darbster. She also manages foster and volunteer activities throughout New Hampshire. In the future, Kelly strives to become an animal welfare activist on a macro level.
Shift Lead
Heidi Stearns

Heidi has over a year of experience working with dogs in a daycare setting, but has always had an interest in working with rescue animals.

Now, she can combine her two loves and care for all animals at Darbster Doggy, whether it be those waiting for their forever homes through our rescue, or the lovely dogs that join our daycare and boarding program!

Kennel Technician
Alec Graykin
Picture
I'm Alec Graykin. I've loved all animals for my whole life - I grew up with dogs sitting next to me, cats sitting on me, and chickens clucking about outside. While I don't have any birds anymore, I still have my kitties and pups, and I'd be incomplete without them. My first job was dogsitting for a friend, then I went to working at a doggy daycare, so I suppose you could say it was just a matter of time before I ended up working at a rescue helping dogs get to their forever homes.
Kennel Technician/Rescue Dog Trainer
Travis Borruso
Travis has been working in the animal field for about 3 years now. With a degree in Animal Science and Behavior from the University of New Hampshire, he uses his skills to help better animals lives.

Currently Travis works as an assistant trainer at No Monkey Business Dog Training and as a Kennel Technician at Darbster Doggy.

Kennel Technician
Cora LeMay

Picture
Cora has grown up on a farm her whole life. From a young age, she has had a passion to help animals. When she was 15 she started working for a German Shepard breeder in her hometown. She worked there for 3 years but felt like she wanted to do more for the animals that didn’t have homes.

When she heard about Darbster Doggy she was thrilled that her love for dogs and her passion to help could be put together. Cora plans to continue to work in the animal field after high school and plans to go to college in a few years. Right now she is happy to be working to find dogs their forever home at Darbster Doggy.
Adoption Coordinator
Caity Bean
Caity has always had a love of animals and a passion for rescue work. Growing up with dogs and cats, she knows firsthand that even problem pets deserve a loving and safe home to spend their days. Before joining Darbster, she never thought she'd get to work with dogs all day and also to help them find their forever homes.

Kennel Technician
Miko Crosby

Miko has been an animal lover forever. They grew up with turtles, chickens, cats, and a dog. They spent two of their high school years training a service dog and it has been their dream to be an animal professional. They love working at Darbster, caring for the dogs and cats and helping them to find the best homes possible, and look forward to a future full of animals.
